Elks Most Valuable
Student Scholarship
Below is the application for the Elks Most Valuable
Student Scholarship. Please turn in completed applications to
Mrs. DeLoach or Mr. Staten (local Elks Lodge representative) by
December 1, 2011.

PLANTERS
BANK SCHOLARSHIP
Six $1000
scholarships will be awarded to students in Bolivar, Humphreys,
Leflore, Sunflower, & Washington counties. To qualify for a
chance to win, a student needs to visit any Planters Bank
location with their report card in hand. High school juniors and
seniors can enter for each “A” earned during the
2011-2012 school year. Each earned “A” allows the
student a separate chance to enter the drawing to win a
scholarship, and they can enter after each grading period.
Drawing will be held at the end of the business day of May 1,
2012.
Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grant
(MESG)
Grants of $2,500 per year are available to Mississippi
residents as entering freshmen who are designated as
National Merit/Achievement Finalists/Semi-finalists OR
who achieve an ACT score of 29 or higher
(or comparable
SAT score). All students must have a 3.5 or higher
high-school grade-point average. Full-time enrollment is required. Applications must be
completed online at

All requirements must be completed by September 15,
2012.
Mississippi Tuition Assistance Grant (MTAG)
Grants of up to $500 per year for freshmen
& sophomores and up to $1,000 per year for juniors & seniors are available to Mississippi residents.
Full-time enrollment is required. All students must have
a 2.5 or higher high-school grade-point average and an
ACT score of at least 15 (or SAT equivalent).

Sumners Grant
Residents of Attala, Carroll, Choctaw, Montgomery and
Webster counties in Mississippi are eligible for this
grant. This grant is available for Holmes Community
College, Millsaps, Mississippi State University, and Ole
Miss.
