THE WILLIAM PRESTON THOMAS OLE MISS FIRST SCHOLARSHIP AWARD was established to assist deserving men who are pursuing an education at The University of Mississippi. The recipient will be a full-time incoming freshman student enrolled at The University of Mississippi.  Complete the Entering Freshman Scholarship Application on the Ole Miss website.  DEADLINE FEBRUARY 1.
 

THE W.P. "BILL" THOMAS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT was established in 2004 to honor Bill Thomas and to provide assistance to deserving students at The University of Mississippi. Recipients will be full-time entering freshman students who are enrolled in The University of Mississippi and are residents of the following counties in Mississippi: Coahoma, Leflore, Quitman, Holmes, Sunflower, or Tallahatchie. The selection process is as follows: 1) The recipient will have an ACT score between 20 and 25 and a minimum high school grade point average of 2.5. 2) The recipient must submit a W.P. "Bill" Thomas Memorial Scholarship application along with a resume and two letters of recommendation (one from a high school and one from the community), and/or nominations by a Principal, Headmaster, or Counselor to the Stewardship Coordinator at The University of Mississippi.   DEADLINE APRIL 1.

WENDY’S HIGH SCHOOL HEISMAN AWARD PROGRAM

Over the past years, Wendy’s Restaurants have teamed up with the Heisman Memorial Trophy Committee to create the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award.  The award honors both male and female high school students who excel in academics, athletics and student leadership.

Eligibility for application is limited exclusively to men and women entering their senior year of high school who have at least a “B” grade average and participate in at least one sport.

The application is online  and must be completed by the student.  Each student applicant must have their online application reviewed and confirmed online by a school representative.  The students must complete their application early to allow time for school personnel to receive email notification of the need for review and confirm the accuracy of the data provided.
