Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grant (MESG)
Grants of $2,500 per year are available to Mississippi
residents as entering freshmen who are designated as
National Merit/Achievement Finalists/Semi-finalists OR
who achieve an ACT score of 29 or higher (or comparable
SAT score). All students must have a 3.5 or higher
high-school grade-point average.
Full-time enrollment is required. Applications must be
completed online at
www.ihl.state.ms.us/financialaid.
All requirements must be completed by September 15,
2010.
Mississippi Tuition Assistance Grant (MTAG)
Grants of up to $500 per year for freshmen and
sophomores and up to $1,000 per year for juniors and
seniors are available to Mississippi residents.
Full-time enrollment is required. All students must have
a 2.5 or higher high-school grade-point average and an
ACT score of at least 15 (or SAT equivalent).
Applications can be printed from the IHL Web site at
www.ihl.state.ms.us/financialaid . All requirements must
be completed by September 15, 2010.
Sumners Grant
Residents of Attala, Carroll, Choctaw, Montgomery and
Webster counties in Mississippi are eligible for this
grant. This grant is available for Holmes Community
College, Millsaps, Mississippi State University, and Ole
Miss.
