Flight and Space Introduction
We will begin working on the Flight and Space Stem Module. The sub has access to my group lists in the binder beside my desk. Ask her to put you in groups. (These may change at any time during the unit.) One computer per group will be used. You will have Thursday and Friday to work on this assignment.
To begin, you will need to copy vocabulary and get familiar with the site. I will post screenshots and instructions below.
You will work in groups, but EVERYONE needs to complete the assignment in his/her lab binder.
For vocabulary:
1. Go to the Flight and Space website:

2. Type in the username and then the password exactly as they appear:

Do NOT create an account. You will all use mine.
3. Click on the icon that is labeled "courses."
4. Click on the icon titled "Flight and Space." NOT the teacher guide one.
5. On the black side bar on the left, click "Lesson 1: Flight."
6. On the right hand side, scroll down until you see words in orange. Those are vocabulary words for each activity.
7. Click each word to display the definition.
8. Copy all words and definitions in Lesson 1. You will need to copy vocabulary through the entire Lesson 1. Click the different activities on the left-hand side. There are 6 activities in Lesson 1.
9. Keep you words on a separate sheet from the rest of the unit work in your lab binder.

3. Click "Getting Started". You will need to read through ALL of the information with your group members.
4. At the bottom of the "Getting Started" module, click the blue strip that says "Courses Features." Read through that information and discuss with your group members.
5. On the left hand side, click "Skills for Success" and work through all the material.
6. In your lab binder, write down 10 bits of information (not including vocabulary) that you have learned from this module.
