Posadas are a series of fiestas navideñas (Christmas parties) that traditionally take place December 16–24 in many Latin American countries, including Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and Cuba. Many people of Latino heritage in the U.S. also partake in the tradition. Las posadas are an important part of Roman Catholic Christmas festivities because they commemorate the story of Jesus’s birth in the Bible. https://www.littlepassports.com/blog/world-holidays/mexican-christmas-tradition/
