MONDAY, Nov. 3 /
Today, we're diving into the Spanish Present Progressive, or El Presente Progresivo—the "ing" tense. Let's talk about what's happening right now. Think of it as how you say "I am talking" or "She is running" in Spanish.
Here’s our plan for the day:
Open your textbook to Chapter 12, pages 409-413. We’ll focus on the formation rules found on pages 409 and 412.
We'll break down the grammar. I'll show you how -ar verbs turn into -ando and -er/-ir verbs become -iendo.
We'll practice together, looking at regular verbs and those tricky irregular and stem-changing ones.
We'll review your class notes and handouts, so be ready to ask questions!
To keep the learning going, you have some videos to watch at home. Be sure to take notes—they'll be super helpful!
HOMEWORK:
Read through the "Lesson For Present Progressive" handout.
Use your highlighter to mark the key information.
Complete the exercises from the handout "INTENTALO".
REMINDERS: In preparation for your next test go over the rules and verb conjugations for the present progressive tense. Additionally, revisit the handout with important facts about the "Day of the Dead" tradition that we covered in class on Monday, Oct. 27th. Study for the test on Thursday, November 6. Bring Charged Chromebooks to class tomorrow.
