https://kidworldcitizen.org/endangered-species-primates-lesson-plan-kids/ to introduce 3 endangered primate species
2.Divide students into three groups, and assign them each to one of the endangered primates: Silky Sifaka Lemur, Roloway Monkey, or Cotton-Top Tamarin.. Each group receives the information text to read about their primate and a copy of the “Endangered Primate Info Grid” (visual organizer) to fill out together about their primate
3.Using the information from their reading, plus the following short videos for research, students will create a 5 minute presentation to the class highlighting their endangered species. When they present to the class, the students in the audience will fill in their Info Grid with the missing information.

Christmas Science Activity-- The Case of the Missing Santa Claus
1. Crime Scene: Read "The Case of the Missing Santa: Class letter" to the students. Show slides 1-8 of the power point presentation. Pass out manuals to each student. Have students complete page 1(draw the crime scene) page in their manual discussing their observations as a class.
2. Introduce Suspects: Show slides 9-10 to introduce the suspects and have students complete page 2 in their manual. In order to be good detectives, students need to be good CSI work modeled- show Dragonfly TV: Kids Do Science-Forensics (http://bit.ly/lkdrPjY).
3. Clue 1- Footprints: Show slides 11-12 and have students complete page 3 in their manual. For an extension: Have students trace their shoe print and measure in inches. Compare how similar their "footprints" are.
4. Clue 2-Handwriting: Before next crime scene work, have students practice comparing handwriting samples. Students will be given a handwriting sample to find its match with other samples that have been set up station style around room. Discuss each child's conclusion at the end of activity. Show slides 13-15 and have students complete page 4 in their manual.
