The teacher will review previously learned sounds.
The teacher will call out letter sounds and words as the students write them down.
The class will check the letter sounds and word spelling as they go through the exercise on the Smart Board.
The teacher will write the word robin on the board. The students will code the word together looking for suffixes and final stable syllables. When they find none, the next step is to look for vowel pattern. The word has two vowels. The students will label the o and the i. They will recognize the consonant and label it as well. The students will then separate the word after the first vc’|v. The students will practice breaking up the word into syllables by clapping.
The class will continue coding words such as limited and visit.
The students will code a series of words with the new consonant pattern.

5.    Work the Lesson 16 worksheet with the teacher on the smart board with-Practice coding words on the smart board with /Ff/ and sounds learned to date
6.    Read reader 2 Plan and Toss with the teacher
7.    The teacher will orally give the Spelling and Dictation trial tests.  (You do not have to retake the part you make a 100 on)
HW: read reader 2 Plan and Toss to a parent, get signed and return tomorrow

Tuesday- Lesson 13
1.     Introduce Lesson 13 blends by having students color the two circles at the bottom on their lesson 13 worksheet.  Color one circle blue and the other yellow.
2.    Talk about the part of the circles that cross has blended colors. It blends to green.  Two colors come together to make a new color like two sounds coming together.
3.    On the smart board go over Blends using pl, sl, sn, sp, spl, st, etc…
4.    Project lesson 13 worksheet on smart board and work together
5.    GO over phonics reader 1 –“Pop It, Toss It”  Read together in class. Pointing out words with blends on each page.
 
HW: Write spelling words and dictation sentences two times neatly.  Due by Friday.  Go over Phonics classwork (codes and sounds) for a daily grade on Friday
