When they find none, the next step is to look for vowel pattern. The word has two vowels. The students will label the o and the i. They will recognize the consonant and label it as well. The students will then separate the word after the first vc’|v. The students will practice breaking up the word into syllables by clapping.
The class will continue coding words such as limited and visit.
