Lesson Plans for the week of August 24 to August 28, 2026
Monday, August 24 - TTW introduce Locating Points and Midpoints on a number line and within the coordinate plane. TSW take notes as I go through the lesson. They are encouraged to participate and ask questions.
Tuesday, August 25 - TTW will do a quick review on the notes from Monday. TSW define the vocabulary words to be in their notebooks. TTW continue to provide examples using the midpoint formula to solve problems. TSW have problems to work during class and if they do not finish they will finish for homework.
Wednesday, August 26 - TTW do the ACT question of the week. TSW submit their work and TTW go over the work to ensure the students have completed the work and fully understand the use of the midpoint formula and how to solve for the midpoint.
Thursday, August 27 - TTW review for the test to be taken on Friday, August 28. Time permitting we will compete a Kahootz game for bonus points.
Friday, August 28 - TSW take a test to show their knowledge and understanding of Midpoint.

Monday, August 17, , 2026 TTW review the test the students took this past Friday. TTW introduce Line Segments and Distance. TTW will discuss the number line and the distance formula.
Tuesday, August 18, 2026 TTW not be at school this day. TSW complete a packet to be turned in and graded. The packet will review last week,s lesson on lines, line segments, ponts, and planes. TSW also look up the vocabulary words for the current lesson.
Wednesday, August 19 TTW continue with the lesson on the number line and the distance formula. TSW work problems associated with the number line and the distance formula. TTW do the ACT problem for the week.

Monday, August 10 - TTW go over classroom syllabus, classroom rules, expectations, and the structure of the class itself. TSW take a pre-test to see where the students are in relation to the future coursework. This will allow the teacher to evaluate the class to see how much review time is needed.
Tuesday, August 11 - TTW issue/assign books for the students that will be required to be brought to class daily. TTW introduce Geometry. The first lesson will consist of points, lines, planes, and angles. TSW take notes as the teacher goes through the lesson. TSW answer questions as the teacher goes through the lesson, as called upon by the teacher. The goal for the day is to cover the differences between points, lines, planes, and angles and how are they all related.
Wednesday, August 12 - TTW review points, lines, planes, and angles from the day before. TSW will define all the vocabulary words in the current lesson: undefined term, point, line, plane, collinear, coplanar, intersection, defined term, and space.
Thursday, August 13 - Thursday, August 13 - TTW review the previous week's lesson to prepare the students for a short quiz on Friday, August 14.
Friday, August 14 - TSW take a short quiz to ensure a complete understanding of points, lines, planes, and angles. Due to the shorten week for lessons, the vocabulary quiz will be carried over to next week.
