Review morning work
Remind students there will be a quiz on Wednesday on sentences, Fragments, run-ons, sentence types, and proofreaders marks. Introduce run-on sentences. “I went to the park I played soccer I had fun.” Write this on the board and ask students how this sentence should be corrected. 
3 ways to fix a run on sentence: a period, a comma, and a conjunction, or a semicolon. 
Write another example on the board, have students copy into their notebook and correct the sentence. 
My brother likes to swim he goes every Saturday. 
Complete wbk pg 5 and pg 6 together.

Have students come to the board and write their examples, circling the ending mark. Students will write two examples of each sentence in their notebook, circling the ending mark.
